Tyler received The David R. Roberts Youth in Philanthropy Award 2009. He was awarded $1000 for his charity.
Tyler was named Central Floridian of the Week by News 13 for his work creating and managing TFT.
Tyler received the Kohl's Cares For Kids Scholarship. He will receive $1000 for college from Kohls for his work helping to improve his community.
Tyler was the Magic Maker for the Orlando Magic in December 2009. The Orlando Magic donated 1000 toys to TFT.
Tyler's story was on the front page of the Orlando Sentinel Christmas Day 2009.
Tyler became a young author in 2005. Writing and illustrating the children's book: Tyler vs. The Tumor based on his journey through cancer.
2010 Tyler was honored with "Guys With Ties" honorary membership. Guys With Ties donated 500 toys to TFT in 2010 through their annual holiday charity event.
Tyler received Compact Student of The Year Vista Lakes Elementary 2011.
Tyler received Disney Dreamer & Doer Award at Odyssey Middle School 2012. Disney honored Tyler as a student making a positive impact on our world through his charity.
Tyler was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nervous system, in April 2005. At diagnosis, Tyler's tumor was inoperable and wrapped around major organs including the aorta and vena cava. Tyler underwent high dose chemotherapy for 7 months, radiation, a major 5 hour tumor resection surgery, a stem cell transplant, and one year of maintance therapy.
Tyler beat neuroblastoma and today remains CANCER FREE!
During treatment Tyler had a friend who had to spend Christmas in the hospital. Tyler decided he wanted to bring a toy to that friend "Joey." Instead of only giving Joey a gift, Tyler decided to give every kid on the oncology floor a gift for Christmas. That December day of 2005 Tyler took 11 presents to Arnold Palmer Hospital Oncology Department. The following December Tyler decided to go bigger and take a gift to every child in the hospital on Christmas day, Tyler's decision and desire to keep giving back and giving more grew and became:
"Toys From Tyler, Inc."

In 2005 Tyler took 11 toys to APH.
In 2006 Tyler took 157 toys to APH.
In 2007 Tyler took 432 toys to APH.
In 2008 Tyler took 736 toys to APH.
In 2009 Tyler took 1808 toys to APH.
In 2010 Tyler took 2020 toys to APH.
In 2011 Tyler took 2025 toys to APH.
In 2012 Tyler took over 2100 toys to APH.
In 2013 Tyler took over 3000 toys to APH and created "Tyler's Toy Shop." Families can now shop for toys at the hospital and email patients' requests directly to Tyler. Tyler also expanded his charity in 2013 and donated toys to children in Haiti fighting cancer and other illnesses.
In 2014 Tyler took over 3500 toys to APH and granted personal gift wishes to over 60 children.
In 2015 Tyler took over 3500 toys to APH and granted personal gift wishes to over 75 children.
